As it shows, starting on page 330, you have to remove the headlamp assembly from the body to access the bulb from behind it.How to Change '05 Dodge Dakota Headlight Bulb?Inside the engine compartment you can gain access to the back of the head light bulbs. There you will see a plastic holder that twists to remove. look close with a flash light and it will have directional arrows to aid in removal. Once out, remove old bulb and with out touching the glass area of the new bulb, reinstall the new bulb. The body oil from your hands can cause the light to fail prematurely due to the Extreme heat generated by the bulb. Good Luck
