How Do I Change a Tail Light Bulb for a full length taillight?

I have a 1993 Buick Century. The back has light panels across the whole car. My left brake light went out. Does anyone know how I change the bulb? Do I have the take the whole light panel off? In your case, open the trunk, pull back the felt or fabric away from the rear area, look for either wiring to the sockets OR... there may just be thumb screws or nuts to loosen and remove the entire light assembly from the car. Then the lights can be replaced.
