What is the best way to change the bulb for recessed lights in a two story living room?

I have recessed lighting in my living room which has a 2 story ceiling (around 20+ ft high). One of the bulbs blew out (first one in 6 yrs) and i need to change it.

I dont have a tall enough ladder and i've tried one of those bulb changer contraptions (with a suction cup at the end) that one attaches to a long stick. That didnt work (it wasnt gripping the bulb at all). Has anyone come up with a better tool to do this?
